About The Title
"Old Broad in Training" is a title I wear proudly.
I wish I were clever enough to have dreamed it up. I did not.
That honor goes to the lovely and gracious Gail, a friend who gave it us "youngsters" who are lucky enough to rotate in her orbit. Gail is the person I want to be when I grow up. With her as a guide, I know I'm on the right track.
Old Broads in Training, as you may have figured out by now, is longhand for OBIT.
Think of the term as the opposite of those "end-of-life" tributes stuck in the back pages of newspapers. But we are not patiently waiting for the end. We're a bunch of vibrant, enchanting, headstrong, humorous 50+ ladies (and a few 40-somethings) with big personalities and interesting lives (okay, we think so). We live in the present and embrace life, every day.
We're in training, every day, to live this way for the duration.

I'm an OBIT and my best female friends are OBITS.
